Student Experience Forum

A meeting of senior managers from across the Matariki Network with responsibility for various aspects of student services and support was convened to facilitate relationships between the member institutions and to consider a number of key themes in relation to the student experience that were common to all. The key themes considered were as follows:
Student health and wellbeing;
Religious and spiritual support for students;
Opportunities for student personal development outside of the curriculum.
The discussion was complemented by a series of presentations by individuals on related issues, including a session on the international student experience presented by Mr Will Archer, Director of the International Graduate Insight Group. Dr Michael Gilmore, Academic Registrar at Durham University, also presented to the forum on the theme of models for the university/student relationship.
