We are delighted to congratulate the University of Tübingen on retaining their status as a University of Excellence under the German government’s Excellence Strategy.
Announced yesterday by the Excellence Commission, this decision secures Tübingen’s place among just 15 universities or university alliances that will receive central funding for the next seven years, beginning in 2027. This prestigious recognition reflects Tübingen’s sustained commitment to world‑leading research, teaching, and societal engagement.
Tübingen President, Professor Dr Karla Pollmann, highlighted the collective effort behind this achievement and the continued ambition driving the university forward. This renewed support will enable the university to build on its strengths and advance the goals set out within the Excellence Strategy framework.
