Matariki Research Seed Fund results 2026 announced!

The third round of Matariki Research Seed Fund projects has now been announced!


We’re delighted to share that, after a competitive process, three projects have been awarded funding for collaborative research initiatives running for up to two years, bringing together researchers from all Matariki Network member institutions. These successful projects cover a broad spectrum of disciplines, and include:

  1. “Cross-Cultural Mental Health in Emerging Adults: Loneliness, Emotion Regulation, and Body Image in the Matariki Network“, Tübingen, Otago, Durham, UWC – Science (Psychology)
  2. “Human-Centred Generative AI in Software Engineering Teams: Collaboration, Inclusion, and Sustainable Productivity”, Queen’s Otago, Uppsala – Science (Electrical and Computer Engineering)
  3. “Strengthening Health Information Systems for Migrant and Refugee Health: A Comparative Study of New Zealand, Sweden and Canada”, Otago, Uppsala, Queen’s – Health Sciences (Centre for International Health)
