Durham wins more than £1 million funding for doctoral training in visual culture

15 January 2015

Durham University has been awarded £1,050,000 to fund interdisciplinary training in visual culture.  The award was made by The Leverhulme Trust as part of its new Doctoral Scholarships Scheme following a bid led by Professor Ludmilla Jordanova of the University’s Centre for Visual Arts and Culture (CVAC).

The bid included a commitment to offer all scholarship holders exchange opportunities with one of Durham’s partner institutions in the Matariki Network and the University of the Arctic.  These exchanges will be supported by dedicated Durham Leverhulme Mobility Grants.
